Abstract This chapter deals with different interface technologies that can be used to connect task-specific haptic systems an IT system. Based on analysis of the relevant bandwidth for interaction depending intended application and introduction several concepts reduce these (local models, event-based haptics, movement extrapolation etc.), standard interfaces are evaluated use in systems.
